Town Of Wilton: Update On Overnight Damage To Wilton Parks, Fields And Trails

Last night’s storm brought flood and mud damage to parks, fields and trails.  All playing fields are closed for damage assessment.  Among the closed fields are the Stadium and Lilly turf fields.  Parks and Recreation personnel are working with professionals to expedite repairs.

The Stadium track is open, with some areas covered in mud.  Please stay on the outer lane.

Merwin Meadows is open, but much of the beach area is underwater.  The surrounding Norwalk River is running fast and high with the overflow parking lot and the adjacent trail to the train station underwater.  

Schenck’s Island is open, with pooling of water in certain areas.

Please look for future status updates.
