Trackside opens new baking class for teens

Trackside Teen Center starts a new baking class for Wilton teens

Trackside is pleased to welcome Maria Farinas and Tara Wilkins of Fork, Knife, Spoon Cooking to teach a special baking class for Wilton teens. In 8 fun class sessions, students will learn how master the perfect techniques for handmade Foccacias, Empanadas, scones, cookies, biscuits, muffins, and more.

Formerly a Kindergarten teacher in Westchester NY, Maria’s passion for food, children and teaching inspired her to start her own business. At Fork, Knife, Spoon Cooking she carries with her the same enthusiasm and fundamentals that she brought to the classroom. Maria has been working as a personal chef for many years as well. She grew up in a house where new foods were always being tried along with a mother who always cooked well balanced, healthy, fresh, and delicious meals.

Originally from Spanish Fork Utah, Tara lives in Connecticut with her husband and dog, Bilbo. She specializes in baking and cooking all kinds of sweet and savory treats. Teaching is Tara's passion and she is thrilled to get to know the awesome teens at Trackside.
