Trumbull Man Hired as VP at TD Bank in Wilton
Dr. Hamid Malakpour of Trumbull, who is also chairman of the board of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, has been named vice president/Connecticut business development officer at TD Bank in Wilton.

Dr. Hamid Malakpour of Trumbull has been named vice president/Connecticut business development officer at TD Bank in Wilton.
As per a press release, Malakpour, who has more than 24 years of experience in bank management and finance, joined TD Bank in 2007 as a vice president and retail market manager after serving in a similar capacity at People’s United Bank in Bridgeport.
In his new position he will be responsible for growing TD Bank’s market share for commercial banking loans and deposits throughout Connecticut.

Malakpour is also chairman of the board of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and has served for 20 years as an adjunct professor at various universities in Connecticut, teaching a variety of subjects including business ethics, entrepreneurship, economics, investment analysis, management theories and commercial and residential lending.
In May it was announced that TD Bank had selected Wilton for one of its four regional office sites across Connecticut. The bank has a 10,000-square-foot space at 40 Danbury Road (Route 7), adding it to its other regional offices in Glastonbury, New Britain and New Haven.
