Two Men Arrested for Stalking, Harassment: Wilton PD

Police arrested two men for stalking and harassment, in separate incidents on Friday.

WILTON, CT — Police arrested two men for stalking and harassment, in separate incidents on Friday.

On Oct. 4, police arrested Willem Vanpelt, 19, of Crowne Pond Lane in Wilton on charges of first degree criminal trespass and second degree stalking. The charges stemmed from a complaint by a juvenile female that Vanpelt was following and harassing her in June 2019, according to police.

Vanpelt was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 11.

Also on Oct. 4, police arrested Aliaksandr Heniush, 41, of Pearl Street in Seymour, for DUI and operating a motor vehicle with intent to harass.

Police say Heniush and another motorist pulled into the Wilton PD parking lot around 10:45 Friday night. The other man said that Heniush had been "following him aggressively" since Westport, according to police.

Police arrested Heniush when he failed a field sobriety test. Heniush refused to submit for chemical alcohol testing, was held on a $260 bond, and was released to his sister the next morning. He was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 5.
