Untimely Death of UConn Senior From Wilton Under Investigation
The university announced the death on Tuesday.

A UConn student from Wilton died Monday morning at Windham Hospital, the university said in a statement.
Connecticut State police said the student was transferred to the hospital from Willington. Further details on why he was transported were not immediately available.
The student was identified as Robert Keers, a senior in the School of Business. Keers was also a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
“Cheers Keers. Gone but never forgotten,” the fraternity wrote on Twitter.
Tributes for the senior received throughout the day were retweeted by the Kappa Sigma Twitter account.
Keers was a 2012 graduate of Wilton High School.
“In the short time since we learned of his death, it has become abundantly clear that Robbie had a wide circle of friends at UConn who are profoundly affected by his passing,” the university said in a statement. ”Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, both in the UConn community and his hometown of Wilton.”
Counseling will be available to those students affected by the incident.
State Police are investigating the untimely death. Police did not provide any further information on the incident.
Keers is the fourth undergraduate to pass away unexpectedly since August. Two students were killed in a car crash in Columbia earlier this month. In August, a student died in a car accident in East Hartford.
