Unique 'Splatterday' Art Experience Benefits Meals on Wheels

Local businesses join forces with a one-of-a-kind art experience for kids, also a benefit for Meals on Wheels, at the Arts & Nature School.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Over a dozen local Ridgefield area businesses are joining forces to help those in need this holiday season with a benefit for Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield during the Arts & Nature School's Splatterday Saturday event, an interactive painting experience for kids on Saturday, Dec. 16. Raffle tickets are on sale at the Arts & Nature School of Ridgefield now through Dec. 16, 2017.

Local businesses donated gift cards to be auctioned off for Meals on Wheels. Raffle prizes include gift cards to the following businesses:

On Dec. 16th a representative from Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield will be at the Arts & Nature Schoolcollecting raffle money and food items from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. during Splatterday Saturday. For $25, kids can enjoy time in the portable splat room while parents shop the pop-up shop and enjoy refreshments. A portion of ticket sales for the splat room will be donated to Meals on Wheels. Your child will get to be the painting as they throw, fling, stomp and splat paint in the portable splat room. Kids age 2+ up will get a set of goggles and a shower cap/paint cap to wear. At 12 p.m. raffle winners will be announced.

Meals on Wheels serves any Ridgefield resident who is unable to prepare their own meals due to age, infirmity or recovery from an illness. When family support, mobility and resources are lacking, they’re here to help. MoW receives no federal or state aid so they are able to serve any resident in need without restrictions. Freshly prepared lunches and dinners are available up to 365 days per year. Clients have the flexibility to choose the number of meals they receive.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the newly opened Arts & Nature School of Ridgefield, 280 Ethan Allen Hwy (Rt 7) Ridgefield near Empire Fence. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Splatterday Saturday tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
