WEATHER UPDATE: Heavy Rains, Cold Temps in Wilton This Weekend

There is the potential of a Nor’easter type storm brewing for the weekend late Saturday through midday Sunday, says Brad Field, NBC Connecticut’s chief meteorologist on Facebook.
In fact, rain begins after midnight tonight and will continue until around noon Friday, and the skies will remain cloudy, according to the National Weather Service.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote on Facebook, “What’s with this - another ugly looking weather weekend! We’re expecting rain to develop on Saturday and becoming heavy during the evening. Temperatures will be well below normal as well. With some luck we will see at least partial clearing on Sunday.”
The National Weather Service predicts that rain could begin between after 12 p.m. in western Connecticut and 3 p.m. for the rest of the state and it will be heavy at night and Sunday morning. Rain should stop before 2 p.m. in Connecticut, the weather service writes.
Rain could accumulate up to 1 inch. Skies will remain cloudy after the rain on Sunday with temps around 70 degrees.
