Weir Farm in Wilton to Offer Impressionist Painting Workshops

From Weir Farm: Registration is now open for Weir Farm National Historic Site's wildly popular Impressionist Painting Workshops for June 2019. Taught by Impressionist artist and educator Dmitri Wright, these workshops invite artists to learn more about the science and poetry of Impressionist landscape painting and to take part in the ongoing artistic legacy of creating art inspired by Weir Farm's stunning landscape. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies and must be able to handle their own equipment for field work. Workshops will include introductory classroom lectures, field demonstrations, and critique of the participant's artwork. Registration is free, but space is limited, so please call early to secure a spot!

Impressionist Workshop for Beginning Artists

Minimum age: 18 years
Beginners only. Feel free to bring supplies, but basic watercolor and sketching supplies will be provided upon request.

Impressionist Workshop for Intermediate to Advanced Artists

Date and Time: Saturday & Sunday June 8 & 9, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Fee: Free
Minimum age: 18 years

Participants must be intermediate to advanced artists, provide their own supplies, and able to attend both days.

Due to high demand for these workshops, registration is taken on first-call, first-serve basis with preference for new participants. Also, if you have friends interested in participating, please make sure they also call to register, as we cannot allow callers to register friends or guests due to the demand.
