Wilton Bike Maker Unveils New Line

The line is named after a section of dirt road near their HQ in Wilton.

WILTON, CT — Wilton-based Cannondale, makers of high performance bicycles, has just unveiled their latest line-up.

The new bike family, designed for gravel and otherwise difficult road conditions, is named Topstone "after a favorite dirt road section near Cannondale’s global headquarters" the company said in a release.

Cannondale was founded in 1991, and is named after the Cannondale area of Wilton. In 2008, the company was purchased by and became a division of Dorel Industries, who also distributes Schwinn, Mongoose, GT and Roadmaster bike brands.

The new Topstone line-up, currently available at local Cannondale dealers, features three models, SRAM APEX 1, Shimano 105 and Shimano Sora, in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL.
