Wilton BOE Go Forward with Consultant Group to Perform Special Education Review

The firm was chosen by the board for its comprehensive plan.

The Wilton Board of Education approved hiring District Management Council to perform an overview of the district’s special education services, the Wilton Bulletin reports.

DMC was chosen over two other consultant groups as officials said their proposal was the most comprehensive, the paper reports. School officials were searching for a consultant after learning that Wilton students with disabilities under-perform when compared to students without disabilities.

DMC’s proposal consists of three phases, which is followed by an extensive planning process.
