Wilton Chamber of Commerce To Bring Winter Fest 2021 In February

WILTON, CT — In less stressful times, the Sunday before the Super Bowl was claimed by the Winter Carnival in Wilton. That tradition — filled with winter themed carnival games, animal rides, magicians, character meet and greets, food trucks, beverage tastings, vendor booths, and an ice carving demo at the gazebo — was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In its place, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce will be presenting a promotional event that will spotlight local businesses. Local establishments will be decorating their storefronts with a "Winter Fest" or "Wilton Warriors" theme of blue and white from Feb. 1-13. During this time, whenever a shopper purchases a gift card from participating retailers or restaurants, they will receive a Chamber of Commerce gift certificate worth 20 percent of the value of the gift certificate purchased.

Here are the guidelines:

• Gift certificate from participating business must be purchased between Feb. 1-13, 2021.
• Proof of purchase with date must be submitted via email to info@wiltonchamber.com
• Wilton Chamber of Commerce bonus gift certificate will be mailed to purchaser.
• Bonus gift certificate will be valid between Feb. 14 – March 31, 2021.

The Chamber of Commerce is urging residents to support the event and businesses early as the total program match will be capped at $1,000.

On Feb.13, there will be a town-wide storefront sidewalk sale, and ice sculptures will be dotted around the Gazebo. Between noon and 2:00 p.m. a socially distant character meet and greet with snowman Olaf, from Disney's "Frozen" series of films, will close out Wilton Winter Fest 2021.
