Wilton Contractor Charged with Larceny After No-Shows: Police
Three separate projects contracted, nine separate checks written, no work done, according to the affidavit

WILTON, CT — Police arrested a Wilton contractor for allegedlytaking $37,500 from a Stamford woman for construction projects that he never delivered, The Hour is reporting.
A Stamford woman hired Frederico Canedo, 53, of Cherry Lane, to do some work at three separate Stamford properties, beginning in December 2017. He was paid the $37,500 across nine separate checks, according to an affidavit.
As of Jan. 2, the woman had not been paid, and no work had been begun on any of the projects.

Canedo was charged with first-degree, third-degree and fourth-degree larceny, andwas freed after posting a $75,000-court appearance bond.
