Wilton Divison Helps Fuel Company's $2 Billion Business
The News-Times reports that despite slow recent sales, ASML Wilton helps its parent company still corner an entire high tech market.
Chances are you've heard of little companies like Canon and Nikon. But ASML is not as much of a household name.
That's a funny coincidence because ASML is responsible for $2 billion, or about 70 percent, of the world's $3.1 billion lithography market. Nikon and Canon hold 29 percent and 4 percent respectively, somewhat small potatoes by comparison.
The Danbury News Times conducted a revealing profile of the business, which has one of its main divisions headquartered at 77 Danbury Road. The article describes the company's future plans and its cutting-edge, 2001:A Space Odyssey-sounding 285,000-square-foot facility in Wilton. It is well worth the read.
