The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Have Wilton be a town where both the younger generation and the older can afford to have a home. As a member of the Board of Assessment Appeals I intend to help property owners understand their assessments and work toward a fair resolution to any adjustments they may need.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I am not aware of any critical differences. I believe we both have the best intentions to serve both the property owners and the Town of Wilton fairly.
Accomplishments:
As a former member and officer of the Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps I listened to other member's complaints/problems and dealt fairly with them in difficult circumstances. As the Parking Violations Hearing Officer I am responsible for hearing both sides of parking violations cases and determining the outcome for the vehicle owner and the Town of Wilton.
Other issues:
I will provide a fair hearing of any assessment appeal with an open mind and facts from both the property owner and the Town of Wilton.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
My wife and I have lived in Wilton since 1977 and have watched our children grow into adulthood. We only want the best for Wilton and will continue to work toward that goal. I am one of the founding members of the Wilton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) assisting in support of Emergency Services when needed. I have Honorably served our Country as a member of the US Air Force from 1965 to 1969 and the communities I have lived in for all of my adult life. My early service began as a Boy Scout. Then up through my Eagle Scout Project here in CT.
