Wilton Fire Crews Tackle Rooftop Blaze: Report

First responders found smoke coming from a rooftop heating and ventilation unit atop the building, which is currently being renovated.

WILTON, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze atop the roof of the former Boston Market at 14 Danbury Road on Monday, according to a News 12 report.

Wilton Deputy Fire Chief John Plofkin told News 12 that "running into a commercial fire like this is not a normal activity" for the Wilton crews more accustomed to residential blazes.
