Wilton Fire Department Hires 2 New Firefighters
Two new firefighters have joined the ranks of Wilton's Bravest.

WILTON, CT — Two new firefighters have joined the ranks of Wilton's Bravest.
Probationary firefighters Michael Baumblatt and Zachary Terenzio were sworn in Monday at Fire Headquarters by Town Clerk Lori Kaback, with their families in attendance. Their service was effective Aug. 15.
“Zach and Michael are very motivated and capable individuals. We look forward to them joining our team” said Fire Chief Jim Blanchfield.

Terenzio has previous experience with both the South District, Middletown Fire Department, and the Echo Hose Volunteer Fire Department in Shelton. Baumblatt is currently a paramedic with the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corp in Ossining, NY and previously served with the Ridgefield Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic.
"The Fire Commission was pleased to extend these offers of employment and look forward to both continuing their careers with the Wilton Fire Department," commissioners J. Casey Healy, Terrie Schwartz, and John Hall said in a statement released Monday.
