Wilton Fire Department Names New Firefighter
New fire department recruit Samuel Guttman is a former United States Marine who held the rank of corporal.
WILTON, CT — The Wilton Fire Department has hired a new firefighter.
Samuel Guttman is Wilton’s newest probationary firefighter, effective August 26, with his family in attendance.
Guttman is a former United States Marine who held the rank of corporal. He's also an emergency medical technician, and a former volunteer firefighter from Trumbull, where he joined as a junior member in 2013. He will spend the next 15 weeks at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor Locks training before returning to duty with Wilton.
