Wilton Girl Scouts To Host Pride Event At Trackside Teen Center
Four members of Wilton Girl Scout Troop #50798 made painting the town rainbow part of their Silver Award project.

WILTON, CT — The Trackside Teen Center will be holding a town-wide LGBTQIA+ event on June 30 to mark the end of Pride month.
The celebration, and the spread of lawn signs and other colorful displays of support for the local LGBTQIA+ community throughout the month, are a gift from Girl Scouts. Wilton Troop #50798 members Charlotte Halliwell, Annabelle Shultz, Reagan Hurley and McKenna Rooney made painting the town rainbow their Girl Scout Silver Award project. The culmination of these efforts will be the town wide Wilton CT PRIDE Celebration at Trackside on Thursday from 4-6:00 p.m. Festivities will include games, kid's crafts, prize giveaways, information tables and more.
"When Wilton Girl Scout Troop #50798 came to us about hosting the celebration we were thrilled," said Lori Fields, Trackside’s executive director in a news release. "Love is Love. We couldn't be more proud to host these incredible girls and help them bring light, love, awareness and acceptance to ALL kinds of Love."

Community leaders, school administrators and the general public have been invited to celebrate this vent. The Troop is still looking for food trucks for the event, as well as donations for giveaways.
