Wilton Holds Annual Football Jamboree On Saturday

Eight schools from throughout Fairfield County participated in the annual event

Saturday was a fun day at Wilton High School.  as the Warriors welcomed seven other schools to Fujitani Field for their annual football jamboree.

The jamboree, which lasted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. is considered one of the preseason events in area with nearly 400 players and coaches from other Fairfield County programs participating.

Other teams on hand Saturday included Norwalk, McMahon, Fairfield Ludlowe, Trinity Catholic, Bridgeport Central, Fairfield Prep and Stamford's King Low Heywood Thomas.

Wilton has a more traditional scrimmage at Bunnell on Wednesday (3 p.m.)  before  opening the season at Trumbull on September 16 at 6 p.m.
