The five “Ss” of wine tasting will be put to good use when Wilton Library is the beneficiary of Ancona’s Wines & Liquors’ Wine Tasting on Saturday, July 19, from 3 to 6 p.m. People will be able to See, Swirl, Smell, Sip, & Savor their way through six flavorful wines during the tasting. The wines being featured on the 19th are two whites, two rosés and two reds, perfect for summer sipping and grilling: Sophora Sparkling Cuvée, J Vineyards Chardonnay, Vincent Caillé Gros Plant, Ventilo Rosé, Joel Gott Oregon Pinot Noir, and Peterson Winery Butcher's Blend. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of any of the six wines will benefit the library.
Elaine Tai-Lauria, executive director of Wilton Library, said, “I was delighted when we heard the news that Ancona’s was supporting the library in this way. It is wonderful to be recognized by Ancona’s as a deserving community organization.”
Mitch Ancona, proprietor of the two Ancona’s stores in Wilton and Ridgefield stated, “We have found that these wine tastings benefiting local organizations are a great way to give back to the communities we serve. We’re proud to be able to help support the Wilton Library.”

The July 19 wine tasting will be conducted by Michael Crystal who once a month donates his time to Ancona’s tastings which benefit local non-profits.
