Wilton Library Preps for Awesome Book Sale Sept. 19 - 21
Wilton Library's book sale fundraiser is this weekend, now featuring books, CDs, DVDs, for everyone.

Wilton Library is breaking from tradition with this year’s September book sale Friday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 21. Formerly known as the “Tots to Teens” fundraiser, thanks to donations too numerous to count, this year’s “Awesome Autumn Book Sale” will not only have children and teen items in the Brubeck Room, but the entire Book Cellar will be open to everyone for browsing and bargain-hunting. The sale begins Friday, noon to 6 and continues Saturday, from 10 to 5 and Sunday, from 1 to 5. On Sunday, items will be half price.
According to Sue Sullivan, one of the co-chairs for the event, “We are pleased to be able to offer so much to the community for this autumn fundraiser. We realized as the books kept coming in over the summer that we had enough to mount a really good book sale.”
Patty Connor, co-chair added, “We’ve seen a lot of people stopping by the donation bins almost every day, dropping off quality books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks that we decided to open the sale up beyond the scope of children and teens. The donations are in such good shape that everyone benefits – tots, teens, gardeners, golfers, chefs, historians – but most important, the library.”
