Wilton Little League Parent Allegedly Threatened Umpire
The matter is being handled internally by the league.

A Wilton parent who allegedly threatened a little league umpire was briefly investigated.
Police responded to the little league fields at the Wilton Y on April 30 around 8 p.m. after an umpire requested assistance saying a threat was made against him by a parent, police said.
According to police, a coach was ejected from the game after the umpire ruled on a play that he disagreed with. After the coach was ejected, a parent came behind the backstop and harassed the official.

The parent, who was ejected from the game, allegedly told the coach, “Meet me in the parking lot so I can punch you in the face.”
The parent denied the charges.

The umpire did not press charges and the matter will be handled internally by the league.
