Wilton Loses Third Game In District One Little League Tournament
Wilton falls to 1-3 following 6-0 defeat to Darien American and likely is eliminated
The Wilton 12-year-old All-Star baseball team was blanked by Darien American, 6-0, Saturday afternoon in the District One Little League tournament at Norwalk's Veterans Field.
Wilton was shut out for the second time in round robin play and dropped to 1-3 in Pool A. While Wilton still may have a mathematical chance of advancing to the semifinals, Saturday's loss likely eliminated it from the tournament.
The team has two games remaining: Sunday against Weston and Tuesday against Stamford's National Lione.

The top two teams in each pool advance. Wilton's only chance is to win its last two games and hope a number of teams lose.
North Stamford (4-0) leads the group, followed by National Lione (3-1), Norwalk (2-1) and Darien American (2-2).
