Wilton Man Charged With 'Malicious' Killing Of Uncle's Dog: Police

Police have charged a Wilton man with the alleged killing of a 3-year-old German Shepherd.

WILTON, CT — Police have charged a Wilton man with the alleged killing of his uncle's dog, a 3-year-old German Shepherd.

Police were tipped off that Domenico Zaccone, 23, may have been responsible for the disappearance and alleged killing of the dog, Paco, during a service call to Zaccone's residence at 49 Own Home Avenue on Aug. 22.

Following an investigation, "Paco was discovered brutally killed and concealed in the wooded area nearby the residential property," according to their report. Police say that Zaccone claimed the dog attacked him, and he decided to put the dog down.

On Dec. 27, Zaccone was charged and arrested via warrant for first-degree malicious wounding/killing of an animal. He was held on a $50,000 bond and taken to Stamford Superior Court to be arraigned on Dec. 28.
