Wilton Man Named CFO of Green Tech Company

A Wilton resident has been named chief financial officer of BioHiTech Global, Inc.

Brian C. Essman will take over the top financial job of the Chestnut Ridge company, BioHiTech official announced Nov. 4.

CEO Frank E. Celli said the company was pleased to have someone of Essman’s caliber and skill to join its management team.

“We believe his broad based experience in technology and growth companies will be instrumental as we continue to focus on offering our customers more cost-effective and technologically innovative solutions compared to traditional food waste disposal with our Eco-Safe Digester and BioHitech Cloud products,” Celli said.

Essman has over 20 years of financial management experience. He started as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and followed that with a CFO role at a Fidelty Capital portfolio company.

“I am excited about being part of this green technology revolution,” Essman said, “and I look forward to joining this talented team and contributing to the company’s next phase of growth.”
