Wilton Man Picks Fight in Darien Police Parking Lot: PD

Disorderly conduct and danger of risk to a child were among the charges made by the police.

WILTON, CT -- Police arrested a Wilton man on June 2 for disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint following a domestic incident that occured in town.

Wilton police responded to a call from the Darien Police department about a domestic incident in Wilton. At the residence, police said that Steve Campbell, 38, of Wilton, attempted to pick up the victim at the residence when he got into an argument with a second victim. Campbell attempted to block the victims from leaving the residence in a vehicle, striking the victims' vehicle with his own in the process.

After clearing the residence, the victims drove to the Darien Police Department's parking lot. There they got into an altercation with Campbell, who had followed them, police said.

Campbell was arrested by the Darien police. He was also arrested by the Wilton police, who transported him back to HQ for processing.

Campbell was charged with one count each of disorderly conduct, 2nd degree unlawful restraint, and risk of injury to a child. He was released on bond and scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
