Wilton Nursing Home Fined by DPH
The nursing home was fined for an incident where a resident suffered a broken arm.

A nursing home in Wilton is among those cited and fined by the Department of Public Health.
Wilton Meadows Health Care Center was fined for an incident that occurred in May 2014, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team reports. A nursing assistant moved a resident to a bed using a lift without any assistance, which led to the resident suffering a broken arm.
According to C-HIT, the nursing assistant was supposed to have help from another staff member while operating the lift.

The resident’s diagnoses included quadriplegia and Alzheimer’s Dementia.
The nursing home was charged $1,160.
