Wilton PD Arrests Norwalk Teen After Collision with Tree

No injuries were reported.

WILTON, CT — Police charged a teen with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol after he slammed a BMW into a tree. No injuries were reported.

Wilton police were called to the area of Range and Valeview Roads around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 24 to investigate a collision. When they arrived on the scene, they found that Juan David Rodriguez-Miranda, 19, of East Avenue in Norwalk, had driven a BMW 323i head on into a tree.

Police detected an odor of alcohol, and administered a field sobriety test, after which Rodriguez-Miranda was charged with DUI, DUI under the age of 21, and failure to drive on the right side of the road. He posted a $250 cash bond and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 3.
