Wilton PD Nabs Danbury Man for DUI

Wilton Dispatch received a call about a car being driven erratically.

WILTON, CT — The police arrested a Danbury man and charged him with driving while under the influence of alcohol.

On Thursday, Nov. 22, Wilton police dispatch received a call reporting a Chevy Cruze being driven erratically, swerving and nearly missing the guardrail, southward on Danbury Road in Georgetown. Police stopped the car in the area of Pimpewaug Road and smelled an odor of alcohol on the operater, according to the police report.

Police placed the driver, John Corona, 58, of Ivy Lane in Danbury, under arrest when he failed a field sobriety test.

Corona was trasported to the police headquarters and processed. His breath test resulted in a score of .2026. He was charged with DUI and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

Corona was released on a $260 dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 3.
