Wilton Police Arrest 4 For DUI

Police have charged four motorists with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the past 10 days.

WILTON, CT — Police have charged four motorists with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the past 10 days.

Wilton police pulled over a 2013 Subaru Impreza on Jan. 6 a little before 1:30 in the morning when they say it was drifting between left and right lanes without signalling, traveling northbound on Danbury Road near Westport Road.

Police say the driver, Mijoo S. Ahn, 27, of Old Bridge Lane in Danbury, admitted to having two glasses of wine at a rehearsal dinner. The police report noted that Ahn said she was coming from
the dinner in Newtown, but was driving from the Norwalk area when she was pulled over.

Ahn was charged with DUI and taken into police custody when she failed a field sobriety test, and taken to Wilton Police HQ. There she refused breath testing and was unable to make a $260 bond.

Police charged Ahn with failure to drive in the proper lane, driving with a handheld telephone or electronic device, and failing to carry her registration/insurance papers, as well as DUI. She was scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court later that same morning.

Wilton police stopped a 2019 Nissan Rogue traveling northbound on Belden Hill when it failed to obey the stop sign at the intersection with Seir Hill Road at around 1:40 a.m.

Police say the driver, Edwin Gonzalez-Martinez, 28, of Union Avenue in Danbury, was driving with a suspended license and under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and taken into custody.

At Wilton Police HQ, Gonzalez-Martinez submitted to chemical testing, with blood alcohol content measured at 0.1866 and 0.1543. He was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and failure to obey a stop sign.

Gonzalez-Martinez posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 13.

Wilton police stopped a 2017 Mazda CX-5 on Jan. 5 at around 3:00 a.m. when they say it crossed over the double yellow line traveling northbound on Danbury Road .

Police say that the motorist, Jesse Carballo, 31, of Avalon Lake Road in Danbury, was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and taken into custody.

At Wilton Police HQ Carballo's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.09. He was charged with DUI, and failure to drive on the right.

Carballo was released on a $260 bond and scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 16.

Wilton police answered a call about a man sleeping in his 2004 Mercedes Benz at the Georgetown Mobile Gas Station on Jan. 5 at around 12:30 in the afternoon. When Officers arrived, "several open containers of alcohol were observed in the front area of the vehicle," according to the police report.

Police say that the owner of the car, Philip Kenney, 57, of North Bedford Road in Bedford Hills, NY, appeared to be intoxicated, and they arrested him for DUI.

Kenney's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.2396 and 0.2423 at Wilton HQ, where he was charged with DUI and driving without a license. He posted $250 bond and scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 16.
