Wilton Police Arrest Barefoot Woman Found in Driveway

WILTON, CT -- Police received a call about an erratic driver in the early morning on Sunday.

Shortly after 1 a.m., a 9-1-1 caller reported seeing a woman driving erratically on Route 7 in the area of Seeley Road, before she pulled her vehicle into the driveway of 511 Danbury Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Juliet C. Portillo, 26, walking around in the driveway barefoot. Police say that Portillo, of 105 Crystal Street in Stamford, told them she did not know where she was. The owner of the property told police she had never seen Portillo before.

Officers gave Portillo a standardized field sobriety test, which they say she failed. She was transported to Wilton police headquarters, charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane and following too closely. She was released the next morning on a $260 bond, and is due in Norwalk Superior Court on August 2.
