Wilton Police Arrest Juvenile for Rash of Car Break-Ins
The investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

WILTON, CT -- Police arrested a 17-year-old from New Haven for a series of vehicle break-ins in March.
During the overnight hours of March 16, there were a rash of car burglaries in residential neighborhoods throughout Wilton. These included 22 break-ins, two attempts to enter vehicles, and one stolen vehicle. Various items were stolen from the entered vehicles, including credit cards belonging to a victim that were subsequently used fraudulently to make several purchases. As a result of an extensive investigation several suspects were identified.
On June 26, Wilton police arrested one of these, a juvenile from New Haven who was 17 years of age at the time of the incidents. The suspect was charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of criminal attempt/third degree burglary, sixth degree larceny, identity theft, and charging less than $500 on a revoked payment card.

The suspect was issued a Juvenile Summons to appear at the Superior Court of Juvenile Matters in New Haven on July 19.
