Wilton Police Arrest Log For Apr. 17-23

On Danbury Road by Orem's Lane, on April 20 at around 12:30 in the morning, Wilton officers pulled the driver of a 2019 Nissan Rogue over for speeding. In their report, the police wrote that the driver, Tania Maurice, 30, of Winfield Street in Norwalk, had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in Stamford Court in January for motor vehicle infractions incurred in Norwalk.
Police charged Maurice with second degree failure to appear in court. Maurice was released from custody after paying a $2,500 bond.

Anthony Christie, 37, of Square Square in Bridgeport, turned himself into the Wilton PD on an arrest warrant at 12:30 p.m. on Apr. 19. He was charged with second degree failure to appear in court, posted 10 percent of his $5,000 bond, and was scheduled to appear Stamford Superior Court on May 2.
Jonathan Garces, 28, of Lockwood Avenue in Yonkers was charged with sixth-degree larceny when he turned himself in on Apr. 18.
Police said Garces had stolen around 200 gallons of cooking oil that had been kept behind a local restaurant during the early morning hours of Nov. 17, 2022.
Garces was released after he used a bail bond service to post the $25,000 bond ordered by the court. He was scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court at on May 1.
