Wilton Police Arrest Log For Feb. 20-26

WILTON, CT — A forgery was at the top of the Wilton Police Department's blotter last week.
On Feb. 22 at around 11:30 a.m., the Wilton PD dispatched officers to M&T Bank at 31 Danbury Road on a complaint that someone was attempting to cash a check using a fraudulent identification.
The suspect had already left the bank in a red Toyota Camry when police arrived. The officers caught up with the suspect's Toyota Camry on Danbury Road south of the Norwalk Town Line and detained the driver and passenger.

The passenger, Alixandria Lauture, 25, of Summer Street in Stamford, fit the description provided by bank staff, and was taken to Wilton PD headquarters for processing.
Police charged Lauture with sixth degree larceny, third-degree criminal attempt of larceny, first-degree identity theft, criminal impersonation, and third-degree forgery.

Lauture was released after posting $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Mar. 6.
