Wilton Police Arrest Log For Jan. 8-14

WILTON, CT — Two car accidents were at the top of the Wilton Police blotter for last week.
On Jan. 9 shortly after 4 p.m., Wilton Police were dispatched to 612 Nod Hill Road for a reported car accident with a rollover.
The driver, a 66-year-old Ridgefield man, told police "he did not know how the accident occurred, and that he had lost control of the vehicle and overturned," according to their report.

The driver's Ford Explorer damaged a roadside pole and a stone wall that was part of the Nod Hill Road property.
The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injures, and issued a written warning citing his failure to maintain proper lane.

Five people were sent to the hospital following a 2-car crash, shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 15.
A 2010 Honda Accord LX traveling southbound on Route 33/Westport Road struck a 2005 Lexus ES 330, turning left out of Brenner Road, according to police, who said the incident was recorded on dash cam
The driver of the Honda told police he was driving down the road when the Lexus pulled out in front of him. The driver of the Lexus told police she could not remember what happened. Police issued her an infraction for failing to obey a stop sign and driving without a license.
The Lexus driver, the Honda's driver, and his three passengers, one of whom was under the age of 16, were taken to Norwalk Hospital by EMS for injuries. The driver of the Honda was issued an infraction for his three passengers failing to wear seat belts.
