Wilton Police Arrest North Salem Man for DUI

He was pulled over for failing to display registration in his minivan.

WILTON, CT — Police arrested a a North Salem man for driving while under the influence of alcohol on Fri., Sept. 7.

Police pulled over Christopher Evers, 46, of Titicus Road, on Route 7 near Blue Ridge Road for failing to display registration. They learned that Evers was driving his Toyota minivan with an expired New York temporary plate and no insurance.

Upon speaking with Evers, police say he displayed signs of impairment which they believed were the result of alcohol. Police placed Evers into custody after he failed to preform field testing to standard.

Evers was transported to Wilton police HQ for finger printing and processing. Evers refused the breath test and was released on a $260 dollar bond, with a court date of Sept. 17 in Norwalk Superior Court.
