Wilton Police Charge Woman in Dispute with Stop & Shop Protesters

Police have charged the woman with breach of peace

WILTON, CT — The police have charged a Bridgeport woman with breach of peace following a dispute between the woman and a striking employee outside a Stop & Shop.

On Tuesday, Wilton police responded to a disturbance in front of the Stop & Shop at 5 River Road. Police report that Shabrina Fludd, 30, of Newfield Avenue in Bridgeport, got into a verbal altercation with the Stop & Shop employees protesting in front of the store.

Fludd became angry when she saw she was being video recorded by a protester, and then grabbed the phone out of the striking employee's hand while still yelling at them, according to the police report.

Police removed Fludd from the premises, and have reported no injuries.

Fludd was issued a misdemeanor summons in the field for second-degree breach of peace, and scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on April 30.
