Wilton Police Department Congratulates Newly Promoted Sergeant
The Wilton Police Department has promoted Mark Canepari to the rank of sergeant.

WILTON, CT — On Tuesday, the Wilton Police Department promoted Mark Canepari to the rank of Sergeant.
Canepari’s friends and family members attended the ceremony. Town Clerk Lori Kaback administered the oath of office, and Sgt. Canepari’s wife Amber pinned on the new badge. Chief Thomas Conlan and First Selectman Toni Boucher praised Sgt. Canepari for his many achievements, and also thanked his family for the sacrifices they make and the important support they provide.
Sgt. Canepari has been the recipient of several awards. Chief Conlan highlighted the department’s Medal of Honor, awarded to Canepari in 2016, for responding to a car fire, along with other officers, and pulling the driver out of the vehicle already engulfed in flames.
