Wilton Police Investigate Wave of Car Burglaries

All the vehicle break-ins were of cars left unlocked.

WILTON, CT — Police are investigating five car burglaries that occurred in town over the Thanksgiving weekend.

A Honda Accord and GMC Terrain were broken into at a Danbury Road home Sunday night, with only an empty wallet taken. On Blue Ridge Road the same night, a Garmin GPS, phone charger and a Roomba vacuum were swiped from a Lexus ES350. and a Ford 150 wa s broken into with nothing taken. Also on Sunday, an Audi Q7 oare asking n Saunders Drive was broken into, with nothing taken.

In all cases, the cars were unlocked.

Police are urging residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times, and are asking anyone with information about the crimes to contact Wilton Police Detective Eva Zimnoch at (203) 834-6260.
