Wilton Police Nab Ansonia Man On Forgery Charges

Police say the man fraudulently cashed checks from the payroll of a local business.

WILTON, CT — Police have charged an Ansonia man with forgery after they say he fraudulently cashed checks from the payroll of a local business.

The Wilton Police Department arrested Mandel Bidone, 29, of High Street in Ansonia On April 25 following an investigation into the check-cashing fraud.

Bidone was processed and charged with third-degree identity theft, third-degree forgery, and sixth-degree criminal attempt of larceny. He was released on a promise to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on June 10.
