Wilton Ranked In Top 15 Places To Live In Connecticut

WILTON, CT — Wilton was recently named the 14th best place to live in Connecticut.

School and neighborhood ranking website Niche.com named the town the No. 14 place in the state to live for 2022, with West Hartford ranked No. 1, Southport No. 2 and Weatogue coming in third.

Niche creates its annual rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and CDC, combined with millions of resident reviews. The company considers factors such as diversity, public schools, affordability, housing market, nightlife and more.

Wilton won top marks — an "A+" each — for its family-friendliness and schools. The town was ranked the No. 13 Connecticut suburb, 13th best suburb in which to raise a family, and No. 14 among the best places overall to raise a family in the state.

Niche scored Wilton's housing and crime/ safety categories "B." The job situation and commute both scored a "B+."

The website liked Wilton's outdoor activities and the fitness of its residents (both scored an "A"), but took issue with the cost of living, which only scored a "C+".
