Wilton Rowers Strong Showing In Saratoga

Norwalk River Rowing won 12 medals at the Tail of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs on Sept 27th.

19 Wilton rowers helped Norwalk River Rowing (NRRA) win 12 medals out of 27 entries at the “Tail of the Fish” regatta in Saratoga Springs. In total, NRRA won 3 golds, 3 silvers and 6bronzes in the competitive regatta where 26 clubs entered 310 boats.

Wilton residents Patrick Lyon and Greg Bauerfeld won gold in the Boys V 4+coxswain and Bauerfeld also won a silver in the Boys V 8+ along with Wilton’s Jamie Fagan, George Mgaloblishvili and Jack McDermott. McDermott also took 3rd in the Boys V B 2x while Fagan also coxed the girls 4+ coxswain that finished 2nd.

Lyon also coxed the 3rd place boys JV 8+ joined by Wilton’s: Jonathan Mellana, Dane Crameri, Tim Willis, John Kaelin and Stefan Klink. Wilton’s Emme Crameri, Kailyn Kieffer, Sabrina Pastorello, Caroline Troy and Lydia Hoffman won 3rd place in Girls N 8+. In addition, Wilton’s James Trentos, Ryan Purdy, Teddy Corper and Ryan Ettie, won silver in the Mens N 4+.
