Wilton Rowers Win Big in Hartford

Wilton rowers helped Norwalk River Rowing win five of its seven medals at the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford

4 Wilton rowers helped Norwalk River Rowing win five of its seven medals at the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford on Oct 4th. NRRA’s Youth and Masters racing teams won 3 golds, two silvers, and two bronzes.

Wiltonians Greg Bauerfeld and Patrick Lyon helped power the men’s V 4+ to its convincing first-place finish, 26 seconds ahead of the 2nd boat. Wilton’s residents Jack McDermott and Jamie Fagan were part of NRRA’s men’s JV 4+ that also won gold convincingly, 24 seconds ahead of 2nd.

Lyon, Bauerfeld and Fagan each added another medal, Lyon winning gold coxing the masters mixed (men and women) 8+, Bauerfeld winning a silver for the men’s V 4x , and Fagan a bronze coxing the women’s V4+.

NRRA also won a silver in the men’s novice master single (27 and over) and a bronze in the womens youth 2x.
