Wilton Student, Grant Jones, selected for National Security Forum in D.C.

Wilton High School student, Grant Jones, wins placement & a grant to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington

Local resident Grant Jones, a rising Junior and Honor Student at Wilton High School, was nominated, and then competed for, The National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington, DC.
Grant received a letter from Major General Stanley Hyman announcing that Grant had won placement, and was also awarded a grant, to participate in this Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense program.
This Youth Leadership program will afford Grant the opportunity to engage in panel discussions with top Military, Intelligence and Diplomacy leaders at our nations capitol. Grant will be assigned to a national crisis simulation, where he will design an action plan and lead a team of peers, from around the nation, on problem solving the national crisis. There will be national security stops at The Pentagon, The White House, The CIA and The US Naval Academy.
Grant flies to Washington on Sunday and, in the intensive week ahead, he hopes to learn more about these national agencies and their respective roles in keeping America safe. Grant aspires to one day have a career in National Intelligence and Defense.
