Wilton Updates COVID-19 Isolation Guidelines
The new and less restrictive COVID recommendations were released last Friday by the Centers for Disease Control.
WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton has announced it will conform with the latest COVID-19 isolation guidelines.
The new and less restrictive recommendations were released last Friday by the Centers for Disease Control, and have also been adopted by the Connecticut Department of Health.
This new guidance states that those who have COVID-19 should stay home until they have been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours, or their symptoms have been improving over a 24-hour period.

The new official Covid-19 isolation recommendation is in line with the CDC’s guidance for managing other viral respiratory diseases, including influenza and RSV.
The CDC also specifically cited the high degree of population immunity against COVID-19, noting that more than 98 percent of the U.S. population now has some degree of protective immunity, from vaccination, prior infection, or both.
