Wilton Vote Recount Confirms Finance & Constable Results

WILTON, CT — Last week's close election results for both the full-term Board of Finance and Constable positions have been confirmed in a recanvass, completed Monday.

In the election to fill a full-term Board of Finance position which saw just a 12 vote difference between the third and fourth place finishers, Democrat Sandra Arkell keeps the seat, based on the preliminary results. Arkell lost one vote in the recount, and Republican Monty Du gained a vote, but it was not enough to change the results.

All six constable candidates picked up votes on Monday, but none by such a margin to alter last week's election results.
