Wilton Wrestlers Close Dual Season With 40-33 Loss To Ridgefield
Warriors still finish regular season with a 15-11 record

The Wilton wrestling team closed out its dual meet season Wednesday with a 40-33 loss to Ridgefield on senior night.
Still, the Warriors finished the regular season with a 15-11 mark, the first time their five seniors have been on a team that had a winning record.
Wilton’s winners against Ridgefield included Drew Venditti (125), Matt Hill (140), and Sean DeJager (215), who all won by pin, and Clay Helms (160), who won by decision. Wyatt Cobb (145) and Drew Kennedy (152) also had forfeit wins.

In JV action, Dan Adams and Nick Cyr both won by pin.
The FCIAC tournament is this coming weekend. Wrestling will begin at approximately 4:30 at New Canaan High School and will wrap up on Saturday.

The following weekends will see the Warriors traveling to the state Class L tournament and the state Opens.
