Wilton Y Wahoos Swim Team Wins Big at National Competition
The Wilton Y Wahoos won too slots at last weekend's 2014 YMCA National Long Course Championship.

The Wilton Family YMCA swim team were among the top place winners at last weekend’s swim competition, the 2014 YMCA National Long Course Championship.
The Wilton Family YMCA ’s women’s team came in fourth place with 302 points. The Wilton Family YMCA men’s team took first place with 362 points. Overall, the Wilton Family YMCA Wahoos’ combined team score was 664.
For the first time in Wahoo history, the team is now an official GOLD MEDAL club, ranked 12th in the United States with 23,722 points. Head Coach Randy Erlenbach said in a statement that the reason he teaches swimmers is to impart valuable life lessons.

“Swimming teaches our young student athletes characteristics that we all know are important. Things like self-confidence, self-motivation, dedication and commitment are just some of the traits that are biggies for all of us and are intrinsically taught here at the Wilton Y Wahoos.”
