Wilton's Hemmerle Nominated For Player Of The Week Award
The senior rushed for 224 yards and three TDs in 38-20 victory over Trinity Catholic

Wilton's Ned Hemmerle is one of five players nominated for the final Fairfield County Player of the Week Award of the 2010 season, which is sponsored by BlueStreak Sports Training and powered by Patch.com and the FCIAC Football Blog.
The senior running back went out with a bang, rushing for 224 yards and three TDs on 23 carries in his final game, as Wilton defeated Trinity Catholic, 38-20.
The victory enabled the Warriors (4-6) to double their win total from last season, when they were 2-8.

: The senior running back scored on a 79-yard punt return and a 78-yard reception, as the Rams (9-1) clinched a state playoff spot with a 42-14 victory over Darien. Macari also threw a 28-yard TD strike.
: The senior quarterback accounted for more than 300 yards of total offense, as the Eagles (9-2) rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat St. Joseph, 38-27. Milne completed 16-of-27 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 103 yards and two scores on 21 carries.
Craig Lowery, Warde: The senior had 75 receiving yards and a touchdown, and one interception, to lead Warde past Ludlowe, 21-16.

Jaquii Tuck, Bassick: The senior returned to the running back position after spending all season under center, and responded with a school-record 319 yards rushing on 34 carries. He was also 1-for-1 passing and had six tackles on defense as Bassick defeated Bullard-Havens, 28-12.
