Wilton's Realty Seven Sea Dogs Take Little League Title

The Sea Dogs are the Wilton Single-A champions.

The Realty Seven Sea Dogs defeated the Advanced Lawn Care River Dogs 10-0 in six innings on Tuesday, June 15 to win the Wilton Little League Single-A League championship.

The game was a tight 0-0 tie through 2.5 innings behind dominant starting pitching from the River Dogs' Brendan Connor (three strikeouts and a putout) and the Sea Dogs' Cole Judelson (four strikeouts). The Sea Dogs opened the scoring in the bottom of the third with rbi singles by Andrew Luciano and Max English, and broke the game open with a five run fourth inning fueled by seven consecutive singles to open the inning.

The Sea Dogs' pitching and defense carried the day, getting a key strikeout to strand runners on first and third in the first inning, and turning a nifty centerfield-to-second base ground out by Devin Filaski and Matthew Johnson to strand two baserunners to end the second inning.
